shadow boy

and as I went through city's streets tonight
all filled with yellow light of lanterns
I've noticed figure of a boy
this little boy
in shapes of mine own shadow
and it was me - so many years ago
so fresh, so young, so full of joy and life
without any doubts and sorrow
no broken heart, no bitter sadness
no pain, no guilt and no regrets
and I was smiling
and said: "hello, my dearest friend!
so happy I'm to see you!
I see: somehow you've manage to survive
through all these years
so please, do not abandon me
don't leave me in this place
stay by my side, I beg you,
till the end
